CHAPTER 1 ANIMALS

Objectives
By the end of the lesson, pupils should be able to:

1. list and identify the external features of animal
2. classify the animals into groups according to their external features
3. paste the pictures of animals according to their external feature into a table.

Animals with similar external features can be grouped together

NUMBER OF LEGS

Animals with two legs  : eagle, hornbill

Animals with four legs : bear, crocodile

Animals with six legs   : butterfly, rhinoceros beetle

 

 Animals with legs       : cat, crocodile, hamster

 Animals without legs : eel, snake, fish

How thier bodies are covered (Fur,Feather, scales)

Animals with fur         : bear, rabbit, tiger

Animals with feathers: parrot, duck, eagle, owl

Animals with scales    : crocodile, snake, fish

 

 

Beak

Animals with beak      : cock, parrot

Animals without beak : rabbit, bear

Wing

Animals with wing      : owl, eagle

Animals without wing : fish, tiger

Tail

Animals with tail      : mouse, dog

Animals without tail : orang utan, crab

Horn

Animals with horn      : rhinoceros, goat

Animals without horn : cat. monkey

Claw

Animals with claw      : cock, eagle

Animals without claw : rabbit, frog
